Darin Duffy
"I earned my bachelor of science in engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. I graduated in May of 1997 and went to Kenya the following September to study wildlife management. After I completed my studies, I traveled through Southern Africa and ended up in Namibia, where I volunteered on a private game reserve.
Upon my return to Texas, Africa continued to be in the forefront of my mind. It seemed like everywhere I looked, I was reminded of Africa. As a result, I applied for the US Peace Corps and was accepted for an environment volunteer position in Malawi. I lived in the northern part of the country in a village called Muhuju for over 2 years and spoke Chitumbuka, (language of the Tumbuka people). This experience has forever changed me in a fantastic way."

"I have been a witness to Darin’s passion for wildlife and Africa for 35 years. I have been a supporter of his dreams of establishing a non-profit that would allow him to use his experiences and knowledge to provide a truly amazing opportunity for other Americans with a similar passion."
"I have a bachelor of science in psychology, and a master of arts in Counseling. My background includes extensive experience working in student services in a post-secondary educational environment, including intermittent work for the US Department of Interior in Yosemite National Park. The unique experiences and education received from my time in Yosemite has given me first hand understanding of the significant value of experiential learning. It is my goal to assist in the coordination of the academic component of Nyati."

"Darin and I grew up in the same hometown and have been friends for many years. Because of our similar interests in the outdoors, we have shared many great adventures together. I can attest to Darin's passion for wildlife in Africa and was honored when he asked me to join Nyati CC. From my studies at The University of Texas-Dallas and now during my tenure with Straight Line Automotive, I have gained extensive knowledge and have served in various capacities to include managing member, finance director, and chief financial officer. My goal is to assist and advise in the business aspects of this organization."
This program was started because we all share the same passion and want to expose more Americans to the wonders of Africa. The combination of our skills and the way we compliment each other is the foundation upon which this program will grow.
